The salary for PCSOs is £20,706 rising to £23,406 plus shift allowances (weekend working allowance and alternating shift allowance at 14%.
Salaries are paid on the 16th of each month or the preceding working day if the 16th falls on a Saturday or Sunday. They are paid for a full calendar month, two weeks in arrears and two weeks in advance.
They are paid directly into your bank or building society account. We will need your bank details at your earliest opportunity to ensure you get paid.
As a PCSO you will work a shift pattern as shown below which will cover Monday to Sundays, between 0800 and 2200 hours and therefore if you wish to apply, you must be available to work across these days and times.

Staff get a minimum of 24 days rising to 29 days annual leave after five years service. Plus eight days bank holidays (pro-rata for part time employees).
Your specific annual leave entitlement will be detailed in your Contract of Employment. The leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March. A maximum of one week may be carried forward to the following leave year.

As a new employee you will automatically be brought into the Local Government Pensions Scheme (LGPS), unless you have made a written option not to join. Alternatively you may choose to pay into a personal pensions plan or the State Earnings Related Pension Scheme.
