Retail theft - We have noticed high value shop theft
has increased in the area, and this is anticipated to
continue increasing in the lead up to Christmas. We
will work together with the retail premises in order to
improve operations.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has attended an engaged with a number of stores and repeat locations.
CCTV has been secured and obtained by NPT for a large quantity of crimes. Cross border teams/contacts utilised with positive results. Increased presence in run up to Christmas due to ‘OP Calvert’. Shop Theft document created and kept up to date with results. Social media – caught on camera utilised with positive results.

Retail theft - Sergeant Crisp will continue to work closely with colleagues on Response to gather CCTV, liaise with colleagues across at Cambridgeshire Constabulary Police, and increase the use of police systems and ‘caught on camera’ media appeals.
