Operation Belts – this is an operation to catch and convict burglars as well as prevent further offences following a spike in dwelling and commercial burglaries in Boston Borough.
Action taken:
A response plan was enacted with partners to target harden, reassure victims and arrest and prosecute offenders. Internal departments such as your Neighbourhood Policing Team, CID and forensic teams worked together on the response. Separate series of burglaries were identified and five Boston burglars were arrested and prosecuted. This has significantly reduced the frequency of burglary in Boston, achieving the objective of the operation.
