Our ambition is to provide a neighbourhood policing service of which you, and we, can be proud. Prevention will be at the heart of our work, through well-informed collaborative problem-solving, building participation and strengthening the communities we serve. We will remain part of those communities, known and accessible to you, and policing in a way that both prevents harm and enhances your trust in us.
Our approach is shaped by five key themes: accessibility, prevention, vulnerability, relationships and partnerships. These will underpin all areas of our service and form the basis of our neighbourhood policing offer.
Operation MUNDO – a response to an increase in violent crime in Boston.
Issued 15 July 2026
Through the summer months officers have been working hard (and some overtime) to bring violent offenders to justice in Boston. Operation Mundo was instigated due to a rise in serious violence in our town centre area. Analysis provided hot-spots for high visibility patrols, violent incidents were reviewed and offender processed quickly to avoid reoffending and retaliation. Actionable intelligence was followed up resulting in stop searches and arrests for drugs and weapons. Diversionary activity and youth engagement were carried out including the Beyond Project – a youth activity and inclusion scheme led by Lincolnshire County Council was set up in Central Park. The local policing team played a football match against local young people (and lost) building relationships, we look forward to a return match. Our response has reduced the number of violent incidents in the Town Centre and significantly reduced the levels of harm of such incidents. The operation will be evaluated to take learning and model for use in the future.
