Waterway Watch is a scheme to maintain the security of our waterways and the people and clubs that use them.
The Waterway Watch scheme aims to:
- provide crime reduction advice
- raise awareness of current incidents and operations such as Op Kraken, Op Traverse and project Trespass
- gather and act upon information received from members of the public and other partners
- to encourage members to protect equipment and personal possessions
How it works
Waterway Watch benefits from a two way messaging system between us and members. The direct link enables crime information to be provided and received by both parties.
As a member, you will be able to report information direct to your local policing team through the LincsAlert system.
Your local policing team will quickly assess your information and decide what action to take.
If you see a crime in action, please ring 999.
You can also report by calling 101 or report it online.
How to join
Sign up to Waterway Watch by registering on LincsAlert. Tick the Waterway Watch option when asked.
