The Force Elected-Official Advisor will support the Force Operation Bridger Co-ordinator Superintendent in their work with Force resources and other stakeholders involved in MPs and locally elected representatives’ security, including candidates during any election. The successful candidate will help drive consistency in the implementation of the Operation Bridger National Guidance and Minimum Standards 2023, to improve MPs’ safety and security, when MPs are away from the Parliamentary Estate.
The Force Elected-Official Advisor will act as a dedicated named police contact for raising concerns and liaising on security, regarding issues involving Police and Crime Commissioners, Mayors, local councillors, and for all candidates during any elections.
The postholder will be trained and accredited as a Crime Reduction Tactical Advisor which will support their role as the advisor. They will also when necessary, provide crime reduction advice to victims when demand allows tasked by their manager. This will provide advice and guidance on structured problem solving and the delivery of effective crime prevention initiatives; to support the achievement of force objectives to minimise crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour within Lincolnshire.
The standard shift pattern for the role is shown, however flexible working patterns will be considered on a full and part-time basis. Applications will be considered on an individual basis and all requests must meet the organisational need as well as individual need, which can be determined with the successful applicant.
