We are currently seeking to recruit for the role of Data Architect.
This is a new and exciting role that will be responsible for developing, delivering and supporting the Force's data architecture strategy, data integration roadmap, and delivery plan. You will ensure that a cohesive data integration approach is developed and implemented supporting an effective centralised data ecosystem. Providing technical leadership and guidance to teams across the Force and act as the lead for the Force's data ecosystem.
Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to establish and lead a new data team within the Digital and Data Directorate. Working with operational leads, and Heads of Departments, you will ensure that the Data platform delivers on the Forces strategic and operational aims and objectives.

You will be a passionate advocate for the usability and positive experience of all our people in using these technologies, involving them in the co-design and testing of all change and development.
The successful candidate will have the relevant experience to become the key point of contact demonstrating knowledge and expertise on Data Platforms, storage, migration, transformation, and visualisation using tools such as Power BI, to develop analytical reports to deliver business insight. You will have or be able to develop a comprehensive level of functional understanding of how these applications, and the interrelated ecosystem interfaces and interacts together along with an in-depth knowledge of the evolution of data practices, skills, frameworks, and strategies, knowledge of the UK public sector would be useful but not essential.

The standard shift pattern for the role is shown, however flexible working patterns will be considered on a full and part-time basis.
