The role of a PCSO is challenging but very rewarding. The job is about communication; you will engage with the community to build public trust and confidence through safer neighbourhoods.
You must have experience of working as part of a team and experience of administration, record keeping, and inputting and researching of data on computer systems. You must also have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and have the ability to develop strong working relationships. It is also essential that you can demonstrate the Force values of being courageous, open, fair and inclusive.
Lincolnshire Police actively supports road safety initiatives and the robust enforcement of road traffic legislation therefore in support of this, the requirement to have a full driving licence as an essential requirement of the role of PCSO with less than nine penalty points on their licence. Evidence of this will be requested prior to any offer of employment being made if you are successful.
You must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence on your application form that you possess all the essential experience and skills for the role as set out in the job description and person specification. If you do not have these and cannot or do not provide evidence of these, your application will not be progressed.
For a full description of the role and the essential skills and knowledge required, please refer to the job description and person specification in the downloads below.
