Our Apprenticeship Academy provides career opportunities for anyone aged 18 and above.
This is an ideal scheme for you if you are a school leaver and want to earn a salary whilst getting a formal qualification rather than going to university, or somebody who wishes to change career path and gain a qualification to do so.
Apprenticeships, unlike university or college, provide a mix of hands-on experience and mentor-led learning. By the end of your Apprenticeship contract, you will have all the skills and confidence needed to apply for a permanent role to progress your career even further.
The scheme provides the opportunity for you to gain highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours whilst studying for a recognised Level 3 Qualification in Business Administration.
During the apprenticeship you'll be able to work in a variety of departments in four-month blocks to provide you with a varied and interesting experience in policing.

The 37-hours-per-week apprenticeship scheme will be run Monday to Friday for a 15-month duration.
What we're looking for in you
These are some of the skills that we are looking for you to be able to perform this role:
- have achieved functional skills level 2 or GCSE grade C or 4 in Maths and English

- the national apprenticeship hourly wage (April 2024) of £6.40 (equivalent to £12,324 per annum) for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship, then the national living wage relevant to your age.

Unfortunately not. You need to be 18 at the point of application to be considered for this scheme.
Whilst you cannot apply for our apprenticeship scheme if you are under 18, our cadet programme is opening in spring 2024 and will be open to 13 to 17 year olds.

Yes. There is no upper age limit for the scheme.

Yes, you will still be able to apply for the scheme.
However, if you have a degree in a business administration field, or have previously completed an apprenticeship in business administration, we may not be able to consider your application.

The apprenticeship scheme runs from Lincolnshire Police Headquarters in Nettleham near Lincoln. All of the placements on this apprenticeship will take place in teams based at Headquarters.
The apprenticeship will last for 15 months.

The apprenticeship scheme is a fixed term contract for a period of 15 months. At the end of this period, you will be able to apply for other opportunities in Lincolnshire Police that may be of interest to you.
