One in four women experience domestic abuse in their lifetime.
Two women a week are killed by a current or former partner.
And one in six men experience domestic abuse in their lifetime.
There is one incident of domestic abuse reported to the police every minute.
Domestic abuse can happen to anyone. It doesn't matter what your age or background, your gender, religion, sexuality or ethnicity.
Is your partner jealous and possessive? Are they charming one minute? Abusive the next?
Are they controlling what you wear? Where you go? Who you see? Are they constantly putting you down?
Do they control your money? And put pressure on you to have sex?
And are you constantly walking on eggshells trying to avoid making them angry?
Are they monitoring your movements and all your messages? And are you frightened?
Do they use anger and intimidation to control you? Do they play mind games?
Are they making you doubt your judgement? And are you doubting your judgement right now?
Are you thinking 'maybe it's me. Maybe I'm making too much out of this'?
What is happening to you is not okay. So let EDAN Lincs help you.
It is NEVER the fault of the person who's experiencing it.
End Domestic Abuse Now (EDAN) Lincs deliver the Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service (LDASS).
They are a registered charity helping all women, men and children suffering, or fleeing domestic abuse in Lincolnshire.
They are available on 01522 510041 or visit the LDASS website to find out more.
We know that not everyone chooses to report an incident of abuse to the Police and we want to make sure we also reach those people with this video on the potentially lifesaving service that is EDAN Lincs and LDASS. You can access support regardless of whether you have reported abuse to the Police.
This video is also available in other languages on our YouTube channel
You must feel like you're in a difficult situation right now.

And they can get you help and support.
So I want to ask you about your relationship.
