If you have difficulty in using a telephone to access our emergency service, then you can use the Pegasus system to get in touch.
What is Pegasus?
Pegasus is a PIN number database that makes contacting us easier. The database holds your key details so that when you call in an emergency, you are not wasting valuable time. It also enables us to tailor the communication method to suit your needs.
How it works
In an emergency you can contact us in one of the following ways and ask for the police:
When we answer, you should say or text ‘Pegasus’ followed by your PIN.
The call handler will access the database to find your details. They will ask you to confirm your name and address.
You can use Pegasus from any phone within Lincolnshire, including mobile phones.
You can also use Pegasus if you meet a police officer or a PCSO in person. Show or tell them your Pegasus PIN and the officer will contact the control room to access your details from the database.
To use Pegasus please answer “Yes” to the question “Do you have a disability or access need?” and quote PEG and your PIN in the field “If they do, please provide relevant details”. To use the Online Reporting service either a telephone number or email address must be provided.
