Fatal collision at Moor Lane, North Hykeham

We are deeply saddened to confirm a 14-year-old boy has died after a collision in North Hykeham.

Officers were called to Moor Lane where the incident – involving an electronic scooter and a Red Ford transit van – took place at around 5.40pm on Sunday, 6 September.

The teenager had been riding the scooter before colliding with the van.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time, and we know many others in the local community will mourn his loss.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers and we are asking the media to respect their privacy.

An investigation into the collision has begun and we are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
