Detectives are appealing for information after a grey Land Rover Discovery was stolen overnight between Wednesday 21 October and Thursday 22 October, from the Barkston area, near Grantham.
Around 9.40am on Thursday 22 October, a grey Land Rover Discovery was seen by officers from our Roads Policing team in the Denton area, near Harlaxton, Grantham. The driver abandoned the car on Church Street in Denton and fled the scene. The registration plates displayed on the vehicle at the time it was abandoned had been changed and the vehicle was travelling on false plates which read PL20CYG. It has been confirmed the Discovery was the one stolen from Barkston overnight.
Two men, aged 37 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle, they have been bailed pending further inquiries.
We would like to hear from anyone who saw a grey Land Rover Discovery being driven in the area of Denton this morning and in particular anyone who saw the vehicle being abandoned and the driver running off on Church Street.
We would also like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything they believe could be connected to the theft of the Discovery in the Barkston area. We believe a black Ford Transit vehicle was travelling in convoy with the stolen Discovery.
We are also appealing for information and any witnesses or anyone who has any dashcam footage or ring doorbell footage that will assist our investigation.
