We are investigating a collision between a flatbed lorry and a child that happened on Outer Circle Drive.
Just after 10.30am on Saturday 9 May emergency services were called to a collision between an eight-year-old child and a white Mercedes Sprinter flatbed. The collision happened at the pedestrian crossing near to the junction with Macauley Drive. The young boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the white Mercedes van or the child, who was walking nearby the pedestrian crossing, to get in touch. Anyone with any dashcam or recorded footage is asked to contact the Investigating Officer.
The road was closed following the collision and has now reopened.
