We are appealing for help to identify a man who was nearly hit by a car in Grantham last night (21 June).
The Force Control Room received a call reporting a blue BMW 320D was seen driving towards a man at around 9.11pm along Elmer Street and the junction of Avenue Road.
We’d like to speak to the victim to assess if he sustained any injuries and to obtain his account of the incident. He is believed to be in his 30s or 40s and was wearing a beige t-shirt, blue jean shorts and a baseball cap.
Following multiple enquiries, the BMW was later spotted along Commercial Road and was stopped by Armed Response officers.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempting to cause Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and remains in police custody. The BMW was also seized.
We are also appealing for further witnesses and anyone who may have other information that can assist with our inquiries. If you can help, please contact DC Kelvin Bown [email protected] quoting incident 523 of 21 June in the subject line.
