We were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision yesterday (16 June) at 5.10pm involving two cars, a red Hyundai and a black Tesla.
The collision took place on the south bound carriageway of the A1, between the Stoke Rochford and Great Ponton turn offs.
Injuries have been reported as life threatening for one of the car’s passengers.
Both carriageways were closed while emergency services attended the scene, with the northbound carriage being reopened at around 8pm. The southbound carriage remained closed until around 2am.
Officers are now looking to establish the precise circumstances of the collision. If you were travelling in the vicinity and may have captured any dashcam footage in the moments preceding the incident and think you can help, please get in touch.
