We have charged two people with GBH following an assault in Ruskington.
Michael Merrick, 39, of Hillside Estate, Ruskington, has been charged with a Section 18 GBH and remanded for a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 21 February). He was charged just after 10.30pm last night.
Jake Winters, 29, also of Hillside Estate, Ruskington, was charged in the early hours of the morning with the same offence, and has also been remanded for a court hearing this morning.
We have also arrested a 22-year-old woman on suspicion of robbery in connection with the disturbance. She remains in police custody.
We are appealing for footage and information in to a report of an assault in Ruskington which has left a man in his 40s with head injuries.
Our Force Control Room received a call at 7.05pm last night (Wednesday, 19 February) reporting an altercation between two men near to the Premier shop in Ruskington, which had taken place just before 7pm.
Officers were deployed to the area and located people believed to be involved in Millview Road, including a man in his 40s who had suffered injuries to his head.
This happened in a busy residential area and we believe that there will be people who have witnessed this, and may have mobile phone, doorbell, or dashcam footage which could help our investigations.
We are now appealing for anyone who does have footage to share it with us, and for anyone else with information about the incident to get in touch.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and remains in police custody where he will be questioned by detectives.
