Forty-one-year-old Ovdijus Sleiteiris was arrested after our officers recovered a stolen caravan within 30 minutes. He has since been charged.
We received a call at 1.27am on Wednesday, 18 September reporting the theft of the caravan from outside a property in Waddington.
Thanks to a swift dispatch of our officers, and a tracker located in the caravan, we located it travelling close to the A1, Colsterworth just 25 minutes after the initial report.
Officers stopped the vehicle towing the caravan on the slip road of the A1.
Ovdijus Sleiteiris was arrested and later charged with theft, failing to provide specimen for analysis and driving without insurance. He has been released on court bail.
