The 22-year-old man has now been released on bail whilst the investigation is ongoing.
We are appealing for witnesses following a reported robbery in Westgate, Lincoln.
At 10am today (Sunday, 17 November) a woman in her 70s was pinned against some railings on the corner with Union Road, close to the Victoria pub, before her phone was taken from her hand.
The man believed to have taken the phone has been described as wearing a grey jacket with a darker jacket underneath with a hood up. He was also wearing a grey face covering/snood and was riding an electric push bike. It is believed he rode off to the Rasen Lane area.
The woman was uninjured in the incident, but left shaken.
A 22-year-old man was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of robbery. He remains in police custody.
We are now seeking anyone who saw this incident to contact us as part of our investigation.
