We have launched an investigation into the death of a man following a collision between a pedestrian and a tractor in Welton.
We are called to the collision just after 4pm on Monday 11 November where the 38-year-old pedestrian had suffered serious injuries in the car park area of Welton Quarry in Bluestone Health Road, Welton le Marsh.
He received treatment at the location, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Officers from our Serious collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now leading the investigation as the collision took place in a car park which is used by the public and as such, falls under policing jurisdiction.
At this stage we are investigating the circumstances around the collision, and we are asking for help to understand more about the moments leading up to the incident.
We are keen to view any footage of the tractor involved prior to the incident. This is a blue New Holland tractor towing a red ‘EVO’ muck spreader trailer, with the registration FY24 ZNA.
If you were you driving along the A1208 Bluestone Heath Road at Welton Le Marsh of the surrounding area between 3.30pm and 4.30pm and have a dashcam, please check your footage and see if you captured the vehicle, and share that footage with us.
You can do this by emailing [email protected] and quoting incident 297 of 11 November in the subject line. You can also call on 01522 212316, and quote the same incident number.
