Editor Note on 21 May, 10.06am: We have changed the address of Kattach as the previous address was incorrect.
A man who was found guilty of six counts of sexual assault has been placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years and given a suspended sentence at Lincoln Crown Court.
Karim Kattach of Wigsley Road in Lincoln was sentenced when he appeared before officials on Friday, 17 May.
The 40-year-old engaged in sexual conversation with his victims before touching them inappropriately.
He pleaded not guilty to the offences, which took place back in 2021 over a three-month period but was found guilty at an earlier hearing.
The court gave Kattach a 12-month sentence, suspended for two years, will have to undergo 20 days of rehabilitation, carry out 35 hours of intervention and complete 120 days of alcohol abstinence.
DC Thomas Lassmans, the officer in charge of the case in Lincolnshire Police, thanked everyone who helped bring Kattach to justice and reiterated the force’s commitment to victims of sexual offences.
He said: “Kattach took advantage of his victims’ naivety and subjected them to conduct that was inappropriate and completely unacceptable. This will not be tolerated in Lincolnshire. I’d like to thank everyone who came forward and helped secure Kattach’s conviction and I hope this result will provide his victims with some closure and provide reassurance to the local community.”
