Three people arrested for various driving and drugs offences in Boston

It was the strong smell of cannabis and his demeanour that alerted officers to the 37-year-old man as he was driving a vehicle along South Street, Boston on Tuesday 21 May. Officers from the Intelligence Unit then identified him as a disqualified driver.  He was stopped and a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a large bag of cannabis in the boot of his car, along with a substantial amount of cash.  He then failed a drugs wipe conducted at the side of the road.  

He was arrested for drug driving, driving while disqualified and possession of a class B drug with intent to supply, possession of a class A drug, as well as driving without insurance.

A search of his home address revealed further drugs including a cannabis  grow.  A 21 year-old woman was also arrested at the address for possession of class A and production of a controlled drug.

Officers saw another vehicle that appeared to be linked to this incident.  It was also stopped, and cannabis was also found in that vehicle with a large amount of cash. The 32 year-old man driving that vehicle was also arrested for possession of Cannabis and drug driving.

All three have been bailed with conditions, pending further inquiries.
