Our officers made an arrest shortly after the alleged robbery at the Browns store, in Marshall's Yard, Gainsborough
A man has been charged following an alleged robbery at a store in Gainsborough.
It follows an incident at Browns, in Marshall’s Yard, at around 3pm yesterday (8 June) where around £3,000 worth of high-value perfume was taken.
Our officers were deployed within minutes and swiftly arrested 42-year-old Darren Nicholls, close to Marshall’s Yard.
Nicholls, from Apley Close in Gainsborough, was charged just before 4pm this afternoon (9 June) with robbery. He is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, on Monday.
Following the incident, we have recovered a hammer and a large quantity of perfume.
