Kevin Martin, 46, of Heron Way, Balderton, Newark, has been charged with the following offences:
He has been bailed with conditions until he appears at court on 1 August.
ORIGINAL RELEASE:
Shortly after midnight officers were deployed to a collision on Gainsborough Road, Middle Rasen, where a car had collided with a house causing significant damage.
The driver and only occupant of the car was reported to have fled the scene. Officers searching the area with a drone located a 46-year-old man in a field around 400m away.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving over the legal alcohol limit and being drunk and disorderly; he remains in custody. Thankfully no-one has been seriously injured.
The collision caused significant damage to the structure of the house.
Our investigation is ongoing, and we are appealing for any witnesses to the incident who haven't already spoken to the police to contact us. If you do have any information or dashcam footage that will help our inquiries, please contact 101 and quote Incident 6 of 13 July.
