Appeal following A1 collision, Grantham

We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a four-vehicle collision on the A1, at Grantham.

At around 1.51pm today (11 August) we received several calls reporting the collision on the southbound carriageway, near to the Fox Inn.

It involved a black Hyundai Tucson Premium; a black Ford S-Max Titanium; a blue Audi A6 S Line; and a blue Audi RS3.

Some of the callers said they had seen two cars, believed to be the Audis, racing each other prior to the collision.

Before emergency services attended, the two Audi cars left the scene. The drivers of these cars also did not exchange details with other motorists involved.

No one is believed to be injured as a result of the collision.
