We are asking for help from our community following a report of attempted robbery of a man in a mobility scooter last night (Tuesday, 13 August).
The incident is reported to have happened in the area of the community centre in Baggholme Road, Lincoln, directly outside the Select and Save store, at around 7.10pm.
An unknown man is alleged to have approached the victim, a man in his 70s, and pulled him from his chair causing injuries to his face and body before leaving the scene. He is described as a man with a skinny build, wearing a red bucket hat, black joggers and a dark jacket.
We are gathering information including investigating any CCTV footage which might be available, and speaking with local businesses, but we know that our community might be able to help us further.
If you were shopping in the store, or in the Baggholme Road area between 6.50pm and 7.20pm last night and saw a man in a mobility scooter being approached by someone, please get in touch. We are particularly keen to view any footage which might have captured any interaction between the victim and anyone else.
If you can help, please contact DS Thomas Robertson on [email protected] quoting incident 469 of 13 August.
