We’re appealing for help with our investigation into two burglaries and two attempted burglaries in the Gainsborough and Corringham areas in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 18 April).
In one incident, a silver Skoda Fabia was stolen from Thurlby Road, Gainsborough. The victim’s wheelchair was in the back of the car. This makes an already very difficult experience even worse, and we are keen to recover this to be able to return it to the owner.
A black Astra was also stolen from a property in Corringham. There was also an attempted burglary at Hawthorn Avenue in Gainsborough and another in Corringham.
All incidents are believed to have taken place between 10pm last night (17 April) and 4.30am this morning. In the incidents where the vehicles were stolen, the door to the properties were forced open and the car keys taken, and the doors were also targeted in the attempted burglaries.
We are appealing for the public to check CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage, and to report any suspicious activity which may have been heard or seen through the night.
If you can help, please contact [email protected] quoting either incident number 39 or incident number 81 of 18 April.
