Officers were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision this afternoon (Thursday, 21 September) just after 12.30pm on East Ferry Road, Laughton.
A silver Honda had left the road and collided with a tree. The driver and only occupant of the car, a man aged 22 from the Scunthorpe area, has tragically died. His family have been informed, they are being supported by specially trained officers.
The road was closed to allow officers to investigate the collision scene. It has now reopened.
We are appealing to anyone travelling along East Ferry Road, Laughton, or in the local area at the time who may have seen the silver Honda or may have dashcam footage that will assist our investigation to get in touch.
