The 15-year-old boy and 38-year-old man have been released on bail. Inquiries are ongoing.

We are also saddened to confirm a man in his 30s has sadly died. His family are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.

Update 22 September 1pm

A 15-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody along with the 38-year-old man who was arrested earlier today.

Inquiries are still ongoing into the circumstances of the collision, and we will provide further updates when we are able.

Riseholme Road has been closed.

We were called to a report of a collision on Riseholme Road, Gainsborough, just after 2.30 this morning (Friday, 22 September). 

One man, 38, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving; he remains in custody.

Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

Our investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision, we will update when we can.
