Update, 18 September: The 53-year-old man who was arrested following this incident has been released on bail.
Our investigation continues and anyone with information should contact us on the details provided below.
Original release: We are on scene at an address in Lincoln today following an initial report of an altercation involving a man and two women.
The Force Control Room received a call at 7.09pm last night (13 September) that a man was being physically and verbally threatening to the women at an address in Archer Street.
Officers were deployed and a 53-year-old man was arrested just before 7.20pm on suspicion of affray, assault, and possession of an offensive weapon, and remains in police custody where he will be questioned by officers.
Fast-paced enquiries then led to a search at another property in Burwell Close, Lincoln, where three possible firearms were located.
We are now carrying out tests to determine whether these were working weapons, and we expect to remain at the scene and in the local area while we carry out further enquiries.
We are asking for anyone with information who might be able to help with our investigation is asked to contact us.
