Investigation launched following GBH in Wainfleet

Dale Hewson has been charged in connection with an incident in Wainfleet.

Hewson is scheduled to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 11 September.

The 31-year-old, of no fixed address, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent, common assault, and possession of an offensive weapon.

The incident was called in to us just after 11am on 7 September and was reported to have taken place in Mawson Gardens.

One local man, aged 42, was injured in the incident, having sustained what are believed to be stab wounds to his shoulder. His injuries are not thought to be serious and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

One woman, aged 34, has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on bail. Investigations are ongoing.

We are currently investigating a GBH in Wainfleet, in which one man has been injured.

The incident was called in to us just after 11am today and was reported to have taken place in Mawson Gardens.

Investigating officers are also looking for another man, aged in his 30s, who is believed to have been involved in the incident. It is thought that he and the victim are known to each other. A number of lines of enquiry are ongoing to try and locate him.
