We are on scene today following the discovery of a cannabis grow at a property in Arthur Street, Lincoln.
Officers were called to reports a burglary in progress at 9.53pm. Three men were reported to have been seen leaving the building with a large bag heading in the direction of Norris Street and Shakespeare Street.
Response officers attending the incident found a vacant premises with evidence of around 70 mature cannabis plants spread across multiple rooms inside. Local searches were carried out to locate the people reported to have left the address, and efforts are ongoing to identify them.
The electricity had been bypassed and was made safe by Western Power. The plants will be removed and destroyed.
Investigators remain on scene and in the local area today carrying out enquiries, and we would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
We are particularly keen to view any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which might have captured three men in Arthur Street and the surrounding areas between 9.30pm and 10.15pm.
