Appeal: fail to stop collision between car and pedestrian
Main article content
We are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a five-year-old boy and a car in Boultham Park Road in Lincoln yesterday afternoon (Friday 8 September).
Officers received a report that the child had been in collision with a vehicle close to the Bristol Drive and Marjorie Avenue junctionsat around 3.45pm. The vehicle did not remain at the scene and we are now attempting to trace the driver.
The boy received first aid from members of the public, officers, and ambulance crews before being taken to hospital for further treatment for his injuries, which are thankfully not life threatening.
The road was closed for a short time while emergency services responded to the incident.
We are appealing for anyone we have not yet spoken with to come forward with information which might be able to help our investigation. We are keen to view any dashcam footage of the area between 3.30pm and 4pm, and we are particularly interested in a silver Kia Sportage.
We’d like to thank those who helped at the scene and have so far come forward with information.
If you can help our investigation, please email Sergeant Helen Kumar on [email protected] quoting incident number 289 of 8 September.
