Two residents of a street in Bassingham have been charged and remanded for stalking offences following a lengthy investigation by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Officers had been investigating multiple reports of incidents involving people in the village which ranged from vulgar language and spitting, to verbal threats, since July.
Linda Lu, 34, and Susan Chen, 60, both of Linga Lane in Bassingham, have now been charged with stalking involving serious alarm and distress, and failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice.
The pair were charged on 10 October and appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 11 October.
They were remanded into custody pending the next hearing, which will be at Lincoln Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
