A 27-year-old man from a village south of Lincoln, who was arrested on suspicion of rape relating to an incident on Saturday, 30 September, has been released on bail.
The 27-year-old man from the Sleaford area, who was arrested this morning on suspicion of rape, has been released with no further action following our investigations.
Officers have this afternoon arrested another 27-year-old man, from a village south of Lincoln, on suspicion of rape.
He remains in police custody and will be questioned in due course.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested this morning on suspicion of rape.
It follows a report about an alleged incident in the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday, 30 September) at a property in Campus Way, Lincoln.
Officers and staff from several departments worked throughout the day and night to locate the suspect, who is from the Sleaford area. He was arrested at 8.15am this morning and remains in police custody.
Superintendent Phil Baker said: “This has been a fast-paced investigation involving several different lines of enquiry, and we now have a suspect in custody.
“Our officers have been engaging with people in the area and will continue to do so.
“We take reports of rape and sexual assault extremely seriously, and I’d encourage those who’ve been victims of those crimes to come forward and make contact.”
