Appeal: Incident in North Hykeham

We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact us following an incident in which a motorist was allegedly verbally abused, in North Hykeham.

At around 4.50pm yesterday (Monday, 16 October) a man approached the female driver of a silver Ford Mondeo car which was stopped at traffic lights on Moor Lane, at the junction with Newark Road.

The man was allegedly verbally abusive to the driver before trying to gain access to the vehicle. A child was also in the vehicle at the time.

We have since arrested a 61-year-old man from the North Hykeham area on suspicion of a public order offence, and are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or have information to get in touch.
