A 34-year-old man will be sentenced later this year after being found guilty of a string of sex crimes and violent offences.

Jud Green, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to ten charges including rape and GBH, before he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday, 12 June.

On the first day of his trial, Green pleaded guilty to charges of non-fatal strangulation and criminal damage and was subsequently found guilty of a further seven charges after an eight-day trial.

The court heard a woman came forward in December 2022 to say she had been physically assaulted, sexually assaulted, and raped by Green.

Green was arrested and bailed while investigations took place, officials were told.

While still on bail, a second victim reported being physically assaulted by Green, leaving her with a broken jaw, the court was told.

He was arrested again and with support from the CPS, Green was charged with numerous offences against both victims in the Lincoln area and remanded into custody.

Detective Inspector Lee Nixon said: “Jud Green has been brought to justice after carrying out these horrific crimes.

“He has never shown remorse for the harm he caused to the victims.

“I want to pay tribute to the bravery of the victims coming forward to report these crimes, and whose evidence was absolutely vital in securing this outcome.

“They have shown incredible courage throughout and I hope this swift outcome brings closure for them.

“I also want to thank the officers involved in this case, particularly DC Lisa O’Driscoll, who have worked extremely hard and under significant time pressure to build a strong case.”

Green admitted to or was found guilty of two counts of rape, ABH, sexual assault, witness intimidation, false imprisonment, GBH, criminal damage and intentional strangulation – nine charges in total.

He has been remanded into custody ahead of sentencing in August.
