We have charged a 28-year-old man with rape following a report from a girl in her mid-teens.
We received a report that the girl has been sexually assaulted at a business premises in Burton Road, Lincoln, at around 5.30pm on 10 June.
Investigators in the Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) unit launched an investigation into rape, and Waheed Ali, of Boultham Avenue, Lincoln, was arrested by Response officers at around 9am on 11 June.
He was charged last night and remanded into custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today.
It is believed that the victim knew the suspect.
Our investigation remains ongoing and specialist officers are working with the victim.
