Fatal collision – Belvoir Road, Denton

A collision involving a grey Hyundai I30 was reported just after 10.50 pm on Friday, 9 June, on Belvoir Road, Denton.  A passenger in the car, a 17-year-old-female, sadly died at the scene.  Her family have been informed. 

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old-man, from the local area, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, he remains in custody.

Two other people were in the vehicle at the time of the collision, they received medical treatment. 

We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have seen the car prior to the collision or have recorded dash cam or video footage between 10.30 pm and 10.50 pm, to contact us. 

The grey Hyundai car was travelling from Woolsthorpe towards Denton. Anyone with information that will assist the investigation is asked to contact [email protected] or call Lincs Police on 101.
