Officers are on scene today (20 June) at a cannabis grow found at a property in Saddler’s Close, Metheringham.
We received a report yesterday morning (19 June) that cannabis was being cultivated at the property and Response officers were sent to the address.
They gained entry to the property, and on searching it, found around 100 plants being grown, and that the electricity had been bypassed. The property has been made safe and the plants stripped out to be destroyed. We are now investigating this incident and detectives from CID will remain in the local area today carrying out initial enquiries.
We would ask for anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage to come forward with information which might help.
Abaz Celami, 23, of Saddler’s Close, Metheringham, was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with production of controlled class B drugs (cannabis). He was remanded into custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (20 June).
