Update, 7 July, 13:42: Officers have charged 50-year-old David John Kent of Hermit Street, Lincoln, with four burglaries of homes in Lincoln.
He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court yesterday (6 July) where he was remanded into custody.
The burglary charges relate to incidents this week between the 1 – 5 July on St Andrews Street, Riverside Drive, Sincil Bank and Tanners Court in Lincoln.
The arrest and subsequent charges follow some swift and diligent work from our Neighbourhood Policing Team and CID, making use of CCTV and conducting house-to-house enquiries.
Original appeal, 3 July: We are investigating a burglary on St Andrews Street in Lincoln that was reported this morning. The incident happened at around 4am and jewellery and cash was taken along with two mobile phones.
If you saw or heard anything suspicious, or you have any information that could help us investigate, please email investigating officer [email protected] with incident reference number 49 of 3 July.
We are considering links between this and a further incident (reference 48 of 3 July) on Sincil Bank in which an electric bike was taken from a shed.
Last month we launched our campaign, Beating Burglary Together, in which we pledged to keep you informed of where incidents are occurring and what you can do to reduce the risk.
