We have arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm in connection with a reported assault in Lincoln.
We have also arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of the same offence.
They were arrested this afternoon at Aylesbury Close and Queen Elizabeth Road respectively, following proactive enquiries by detectives in Lincoln Criminal Investigation Services (CID).
Both remain in police custody and will be interviewed in due course.
Our enquiries are ongoing and we continue to appeal for information on this incident.
We are appealing for witnesses following a reported assault which has left a man in his 30s with serious injuries to his face.
Officers were called to reports of a commotion at an address in Keddington Avenue in Lincoln just after midnight today (24 July) where they found a man with significant injuries to his face.
He received initial treatment at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
At this stage it is not clear where and when the incident took place, and we are following a number of lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify any suspects.
We would like our community’s help to do this.
We ask that anyone who was driving in the Riseholme Road and Keddington Avenue areas of Lincoln between 11pm last night (23 July) and 12.30am today to check dashcam footage to see if they may have captured an altercation.
We are also interested in footage which might show a group of men together. In addition, we are keen to see CCTV or doorbell footage of the same areas which might help our enquiries, or to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard something that seemed out of the ordinary between the same time.
