We are appealing for witnesses following a report of an altercation in Gainsborough at around 7.15am this morning (10 July).
Officers were called to reports that a man had been assaulted following an altercation between two dog walkers along the footpath between Pingle Hill and Enderby Crescent.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 6ft 1 inch tall, with brown hair, and was wearing a black hooded tracksuit top, and dark coloured jeans. He was walking a dog described as an American bulldog which was a thorny light honey colour.
We would like to trace this man to get his account of the incident, and we would also ask that anyone with information to come forward and help our enquiries.
This is close to a residential area and we hope that there will be people who have information which might be able to help us.
