More than 200 cannabis plants have been found at a property in Gainsborough thanks to proactive work by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
A warrant was carried out at the property in Trent Street as a result of community and police intelligence just before 10am yesterday (18 January).
Specialist officers searched the property and found the plants over two floors. The electricity had been bypassed, and has now been made safe.
A 21-year-old man found at the property was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug and suspicion of cultivating cannabis plants. He has been released on police bail while investigations continue.
Officers and forensics experts remained on site throughout the day clearing the grow, gathering evidence and carrying out enquiries in the local area.
Investigations are now ongoing by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
We would appeal for anyone with information which might help our investigation to get in touch with DC Ravi Singh quoting incident number 63 of 18 January, or call 101 and ask for extension 3295242.
