Serious collision – B1225 Market Stainton

We are investigating a two-vehicle collision, where a 29-year-old woman has died.  The collision happened just after 5.30 pm on Friday 4 August, on the B1225 at Market Stainton.  The family of the woman have been informed.

The collision involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van, travelling northbound towards Benniworth, and a blue Hyundai, travelling south towards Ranby. The road was closed at the time and reopened at 7.30 on Saturday.

We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or may have dashcam footage of either vehicle prior to the collision travelling in the vicinity or anyone who witnessed the collision, who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.
