A 48-year-old man has been charged with shop theft and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
During proactive patrols at Westgate in Grantham yesterday (9 August), officers arrested a man who was wanted in connection with a shop theft at Lloyd’s Pharmacy on the High Street.
The man is also alleged to have been found in possession of a knife during his arrest.
Carl Mason of Union Street in Grantham was remanded to court and is set to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (10 August).
The Neighbourhood Policing Team in Grantham will continue to carry out proactive patrols in the area to tackle a variety of incidents. These types of offences will not be tolerated, and officers will continue to work to keep Lincolnshire the safest place to live, work and visit.
