Licence revoked, Social 22, Mablethorpe

Yesterday, Thursday, 24 August, East Lindsey District Council’s Licensing Sub Committee made the decision to revoke the premises licence for Social 22/Envy, Victoria Road, Mablethorpe, following Lincolnshire Police’s Alcohol Licence Team requesting the review and presenting evidence to highlight their repeated failings as a Licenced Premises.

Numerous incidents of crime, disorder and failure to comply with simple licence conditions were heard, relating to it’s operation under ‘Summer’s Enterprise’. After considering options available to them, the Licencing sub-committee felt none would address the issues raised and the only option was to revoke the licence all together.

Lincolnshire Police’s Alcohol Licensing Team wish to support all licenced premises who are committed to providing a safe and responsible environment. We will always seek to support and advise prior initiating a review – but if issues are not addressed and improvements are not seen, we will seek such a review for the safety and wellbeing of the wider public.
