We are saddened to confirm an eight-year-old boy has tragically died in a collision at Kirton Lindsey.
Officers were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Mercedes and a white Mitsubishi at around 1.15pm yesterday, Monday, 7 August.
The collision happened on the B1398, at the junction with the B1205.
Several people sustained minor injuries in the collision – however a young boy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been made aware, and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time. Specialist officers are working to support them.
We are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage as we look to piece together what happened.
Video or eyewitness accounts before or after the collision could prove crucial and we are asking anyone with any knowledge to come forward.
If you have any information or footage that may help us in our investigation, please get in touch with Laura Magson at [email protected]
