Officers and staff have tonight paused to observe the nationwide minute of silence held in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Where possible in line with their duties, members of Lincolnshire Police stopped to reflect on the service of Her Majesty.
Chief Constable Chris Haward said:
“It is with a real mix of sadness and pride that I personally observed the moment of reflection for Her Majesty, and I’m sure many others felt the same. When I became a police officer I swore an oath to serve her and she has been my monarch for all my 31 years in service, not to mention my whole life. I know I speak for many when I say It is had been a real honour to have served her during her reign.”
