We are pleased to report two of the seven bikes recovered have now been reunited with their owners.
Following our appeal, several people came forward with proof of ownership and now have their bikes back in their possession.
A further the bike was recovered in a different incident and has also since reunited with its owner. It was worth around £1,700.
Sergeant Tom Smith said: "This is an absolutely great result, and exactly what we want to be doing in policing - helping a victim of crime. We would encourage anyone else who thinks that the remaining three bikes may be theirs to contact us at South Park Police station."
Original release, 10 October
We are appealing for the owners of seven bikes to come forward after we recovered what are believed to be stolen bikes from properties in Lincoln.
The bikes were recovered from three different addresses in the city this week as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle bike crime in the city.
Brands include Giant, Voodoo, Carrera and Cube. They are currently at South Park Police station.
There are other bikes which have also been recovered which we are in the process of reuniting with the owners.
We would like to again encourage you to take a note of their serial number as well as pictures of their bikes, so that if you are the victim of a theft we can return your bike to you.
We would also urge people to continue to report theft of bikes with detailed descriptions, and remain vigilant on cycle security.
Three people were arrested for drug-related offences during the recovery of the bikes and have been released under investigation while investigations continue.
If you believe one of the bikes is yours, please contact us on 101 with some proof of ownership.
